Cabbage Rolls with Meat

-2 kg white cabbage
-3 cups of rice
-200 gr ground beef
-1 large onion (finely chopped)
-2 tablespoons of sweet pepper paste
-1 tablespoon tomato paste
-half a glass of oil
-half a glass of water
-1 teaspoon of black pepper
-1 teaspoon of chili pepper or paprika
-4 teaspoons of dried mint
-2-2.5 dessert spoons of salt
-finely chopped parsley if desired

How to make

First of all, we start by weeding our cabbage. We cut our cabbage beautifully from the head and carefully remove the leaves one by one.
We put the leaves in boiling water and boil them until they soften slightly.
We take the boiled leaves in a strainer and set aside.
While the leaves are drained, we add the washed rice, onion, minced meat, tomato paste, spices, salt and the last oil and water in a separate bowl, and mix it by hand, without breaking the rice,
We take the filtered leaves one by one and spread them on the counter. (if our leaves are too big cut them in half)
We take about 1 tablespoon of it from the mortar, spread it slightly longitudinally on the head of the leaf, and close it from the edges and wrap it tightly.
We lay a layer of small and worn cabbage leaves on the bottom of the pot where we will cook the wraps. (In terms of the bottom of our wraps not sticking to the pot and burning).
We arrange the wraps on top of them side by side until the wraps are finished.
When finished, we cover a plate on the wraps and put water on it until about 2 fingers pass.
Close the lid of the pot and boil at high temperature first, we reduce the bottom of the gas and cook it in a controlled manner at low heat until it absorbs the water.
We do not open the lid of the pot for 15-20 minutes after it is cooked so that the wraps will get a good taste :)

You can serve it accompanied by yogurt and fried red pepper. Great taste :)
